Unschooling Conferences
UZOMA Black Unschoolers’ Conference Uzoma is a Nigerian Igbo word which means ‘the good path’ and reflects the journey that all unschoolers embark upon when they choose this inspired method of education. It is our belief that a society can only experience freedom when its children are loved and respected as free people. Our mission is to help families learn about and share in this journey of becoming free.
North Conway, NH - Life Rocks! Radical Unschooling Coference We are on the cusp of change. Children are finally being recognized as the whole, perfect people that they are. Tides are turning, and a new chapter in humanity is beginning. This is a very exciting time to be alive!? Join us and be part of the Revolution! Dayna Martin, Conference Organizer
This group exists to support the gathering and help participants organize and discuss options prior to each event. We will post everything we are willing to share or would like to see happen at each event and plan around those interests.
Past topics have ranged from round table discussions about unschooling and gentle parenting to knitting, turkey roasting, cob building, swing dancing, games and much more. Since this is about being an autodidact, almost anything is possible!
Connecting with other’s interested in unschooling and the whole-wide-world helps build community, enrich our learning experiences, develops new friendships and encourages a lot of FUN! The intention is to keep costs very low, so everyone can attend easily.
Join us in the beautiful Appalachian mountains and share your passions, while learning about other people’s passions. We welcome anyone and everyone that is open to the idea of self-education and mindful parenting. Wherever you are in the journey, we hope you will find inspiration and encouragement here.
