Cancellation/Return Policy
Cancellation policy:
Some customers have been placing orders “on a whim” then changing their minds. This has become very costly forcing us to adopt this “Cancellation Policy” to keep our pricing as low as possible for all. Reason; all orders are automatically processed through one of our secure merchant processors and sent to the supplier for shipment as soon as they are placed, during this process we incur irreversible fees. Therefore, while we understand that orders might need to be canceled for various reasons, we are no longer able to offer a full refund.
A cancellation request must be received with-in 48 hours of order placement and may be accessed a 20% cancellation fee up to a maximum of $100.00 US. Allow 5 business days for us to process your cancellation request while we investigate the status of your shipment with our supplier. If we authorize a refund, and are unable to intercept shipment with our supplier, by accepting the refunded amount you hereby agree to return the item(s) unopened at your expense to our customer service location at The Unschooler’s Emporium 18124 Wedge Pkwy #198 Reno, NV 89511
PayPal’s Money Back Guarantee:
Safeguard your online purchases with PayPal’s Money Back Guarantee. When you make a payment on the PayPal website, you can now buy a Money Back Guarantee to protect your purchase of physical goods on selected transactions. If you purchase the Money Back Guarantee, you will have the option to return your merchandise to PayPal in exchange for a reimbursement (not including the Guarantee fee), provided that you file a complete reimbursement request within 30 days of payment.
The Money Back Guarantee will only be offered on physical goods transactions for less than $1,000 with selected sellers. PayPal may take additional criteria into account in deciding whether to offer the Money Back Guarantee on a particular transaction. You will know if a transaction qualifies when you get to the Confirm Payment Details page. If we are offering the Money Back Guarantee, you will see a check box quoting the price of the Guarantee for that transaction. Just click on the box before you send payment.

Merchandise Returns
All requests for returns must first be made via email or phone (1-775-450-2685). Do NOT simply mail item(s) back without speaking or emailing us first, unless notified to do so via instructions enclosed with merchandise.
Be ready to provide us the following information: Your name, product, purchase date, address item was shipped to, your contact information, and of course, the reason for the return. Once you have contacted us, we will give you instructions on how to proceed with the item’s return, credit or replacement.
NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES ON DOWNLOADED PRODUCTS!
Permissible Timeframe for Return
Notification of your intention to return an item must be received within 15 days of the invoice date.
Defective Products
Products that are defective will be replaced, refunded, repaired, or credited, as expeditiously as possible, according to The Unschooler’s Emporium’s discretion.
Restrictions on Returns
Non-defective returns are accepted for refund or exchange at The Unschooler’s Emporium’s discretion. All non-defective returns are subject to a twenty percent (20%) restock fee. Products should be returned in their original packaging, otherwise full credit may not be possible. The Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
Shipping Damage
If product arrives with damage that is visible or likely to have affected the contents of the boxes, the preferred method of handling it is to refuse delivery of the shipment due to damage by the carrier. The carrier will be responsible for returning it to The Unschooler’s Emporium. The Buyer must note the reason for refusal on the carrier’s ‘attempted delivery’ record. If the damaged shipment is accepted, the recipient must note all known and visible damage on the carrier’s ‘delivery record’ in order for The Unschooler’s Emporium to file a damage claim. The recipient must save the product and all packing it arrived in and notify The Unschooler’s Emporium immediately so a carrier inspection and pickup can be arranged. Failure to follow these instructions or to report damage within fifteen (15) days from the invoice date will result in the request being denied as out of return eligibility.
Never Received Order
If you have not received your order within 14 days of purchase, you must contact The Unschooler’s Emporium by email (brenda@theunschoolersemporium.com) or phone (775-450-2685) so we can work together on resolving the issue. We will either be able to re-ship the items or give you a refund, depending on the circumstances according to The Unschooler’s Emporium’s discretion. If it is after 14 days, we may not be able to help you recover your items or refund you.
